Ashgate Hospice has been refurbished

Four Winds Co-op recently attended the opening of the refurbished Ashgate Hospice which included LED lighting funded by the co-op.

Thanks to funds, donations and free materials they could do a full makeover including replacing the leaking roof, total redecoration, installation of new windows and doors, installation of a self serve kitchen and creation of some new room spaces without cost to the hospice.

The day centre is used to enable service users to attend for a day and have bloods taken, see a doctor, maybe take place in activities such as armchair exercise or pilates, utilise a quiet space, receive treatments such as chemotherapy, etc instead of having to make several visits to hospital and their doctors surgery over several days.
