Funding boost for repairs at miners’ welfare centre

The BBC have covered a story about the repairs being made to the miners’ welfare centre in Brampton, Rotherham thanks to grant funding including from Four Winds Energy Co-operative.

The Four Winds turbines are built on former colliery land, and being able to support communities who formerly relied on this industry is central to our mission.

Four Winds Energy Co-operative contributed £5,000, alongside grants from the National Lottery, The Earl Fitzwilliam Charitable Trust and the Bernard Sunley Foundation. The centre can now make vital roof repairs and continue welcoming people for years to come.
